Vegetables day celebration

The students of Shishuvatika visited a vegetable farm at Panangatiri, Palakkad, as part of Vegetables day celebration on 28.11.2025 The objective of the visit was to help children understand the process of growing vegetables, appreciate farmers’ hard work and connect with the concept of healthy eating.
During the visit, the children observed various vegetables growing in the fields. The teachers explained the stages of plant growth, the importance of sunlight, water and soil, and how organic manure is used to grow crops naturally. The students enjoyed walking through the farm, touching the plants, and asking questions about how vegetables reach our homes.The visit helped the children develop curiosity about nature and understand the farm-to-plate journey. It also instilled values of gratitude towards farmers and encouraged them to include more vegetables in their daily diet. Overall, the trip was an enriching and joyful learning experience.
