READING DAY 2025 – “SAMANVAYAM

On **June 21st, 2025**, the campus of **Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Tattamangalam** came alive with the rhythm of words, tradition, and creativity as we celebrated **Reading Day** — not merely as an event, but as a vibrant **festival of literature, language, and expression**.
The theme — **“From Vedas to Verse”** — served as the perfect canvas for showcasing the evolution of literary thought across time, languages, and cultures.
The **English Department** staged a captivating skit featuring **legendary writers across eras**, sparking a cross-generational dialogue of thoughts and perspectives.
A unique **“Parts of Speech” ramp walk** turned grammar into glamour — a fun and educational parade that made the crowd cheer and learn.
The **Malayalam Department** stirred nostalgia and cultural pride with a soulful **Poothapattu**, capturing the folk essence of Kerala’s oral tradition.
The **Sanskrit Department** highlighted the greatness of **Veda Vyasa** and the timeless legacy of the **Mahabharata**, drawing connections between ancient wisdom and modern relevance through graceful storytelling.
The **Hindi Department** paid tribute to the **great authors of Hindi literature**, bringing to life the voices of Tulsidas, Munshi Premchand, Kabir, and others through a thoughtful and expressive performance.
The event commenced with a prayer and lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome address.
The presence of **renowned writer Ms. Punya C R** as **Chief Guest** added brilliance to the celebration, as she inspired students to see books as windows to new worlds.
A landmark moment was the **launch of our student vlog**:
**“Chinmaya Chapters: Beyond the Pages”**A platform *by the students, for the students* — where thoughts, reviews, poems, and reflections bring literature to life in the digital age.
